Director Profile: Polynoid
Polynoid was founded in 2007 by Jan Bitzer, Ilija Brunck, Csaba Letay, Fabian ‘Pit’ Pross and Tom Weber. The team met during animation school where a very successful collaboration on their thesis film “Loom” created the foundation for an ongoing professional venture. With production studios in Berlin and Stuttgart, Germany, the directing team consists of directors, designers, and animators. Polynoid takes inspiration from live action film and applies it to their visual storytelling and treatment of animation. Their short film “Loom” won numerous awards including the prestigious Siggraph “Best in Show” title voted by animation peers around the globe.
